Arc’teryx and Grampians Peaks Walking Co proudly acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of this nation. We particularly acknowledge the Djap Wurrung and Jardwadjali people, the traditional custodians of the land on which this event will be held.
Join us from October 20th to 22nd for an unforgettable weekend of guided trail running and hiking amid the stunning landscapes of Grampians National Park.

Day 1: Meet and greet, welcome to country and gear check
Arrive at the YHA Eco Lodge in Halls Gap/Budja Budja at your leisure and check into your room. If you arrive by 2 pm you can join an optional easy warm-up run or hike.
Once the whole crew has assembled, you’ll meet the Arc’teryx team and be welcomed to country by a local elder before heading out for a gear check and demo and our welcome event at Flame Brother Bar and Restaurant.

Day 2: Run and hike through Wonderland
Today we enjoy a breakfast spread at the YHA before hitting the trails right out our front door, carrying our packed lunch, snacks and water for the day.
We will divide into smaller groups based on preferences of distance, time and challenge and if you’re opting to trail run or hike. No matter what level you’re at, there will be an option to hit the trail with a like-minded group.
At the end of your hike/run you’ll be picked up and shuttled back to the YHA. If you have any energy left, there will be an option to head out for a “Mt William finisher” – a steep 2km ascent up a sealed road to the highest point in the Gariwerd Landscape.
Buffet BBQ dinner served at the YHA followed by education sessions with Arc’teryx ambassadors.
Day 3: Explore Northern Gariwerd
Our last day on the Trail Summit starts with us all driving our own cars to the Northern end of the Gariwerd landscape where we’ll run a quick shuttle to get everyone to their starting points. The northern end of the range is an entirely different landscape so today’s hike/run will feel like we’re exploring somewhere completely foreign.
As yesterday, we will have options to hike or run a range of distances and levels of technicality. With packed lunches on board, we’ll be able to re-fuel en route or, wait until all groups join back up at the Gar Trailhead where we will have a few final words from the Arc’teryx and Grampians Peaks Walking Co teams before all departing for home or an onward journey by approximately 2 pm.

This Arc’teryx Trail Summit is suitable for all trail enthusiasts no matter your level of experience or pace. All you’ll need is a basic level of fitness, your own personal kit for day-trip outings and a good sense of camaraderie and adventure!
Program options will be suitable for both runners and hikers alike with distances ranging from 12km to 36km. Each hike/run will be accompanied by a professional, qualified local guide as well as an Arc’teryx ambassador or staff member.
Accommodation for this trip is two nights in dorm-style bunk rooms at the YHA Eco Lodge. We will do our best to keep dorms to single genders but depending on the breakdowns of the group, this may not be possible.
Catering is included and yes, we’re able to manage just about any dietary requirement with enough notice!
